I was recently sent some amazing cosmetic products to review.  I am so thrilled with them, that I have to share it with you.  Eye of Horus sent me their Ultimate Goddess Essentials Pack + 2 extra pencil liners:

I will tell you all about our experience with these products in just a bit, but now let me tell you a bit about the company and their products.

Eye of Horus launched its line of spectacular products in 2010. Since then, it has become a go-to brand for both professional makeup artists and general consumers alike.  Eye of Horus, an Australian based company, studied how the Ancient Egyptians made their eye products with natural waxes and oils.

This was a quite brilliant move on their part, to look towards the Egyptians, who have long been known for their stunning eye looks created with natural ingredients, to create products who could be used by all, even those with sensitivity issues.  Their findings led them to create great formulas for their cosmetics, that are not only all natural and irritant free, but also nourishing!  This was important to Eye of Horus, because they too suffered from eye irritations that made it difficult to use eye makeup.  They not only created a solution, but a truly a fabulous product line with mass appeal.

*Natural Smokey Eye Pencil - This one is special because it is made with jojoba wax, mango oil, and both vitamins C & E.  The result? Our Testimonial:

First let me say that when you get the Ultimate Goddess Essentials Pack, you immediately expect luxury.  The packaging encourages this train of thought.  It is a beautiful, elegant black and gold package with appealing artwork and finished with ribbons (see photo above).  You already know this is going to be quite a treat!  Honestly, if lesser quality product had been in that box - which states "Awaken the Goddess Within", I would have been supremely disappointed.  Luckily, it only got better once the box was opened and the products were tried!

We are totally in love with the Liquid Define Eyeliner in Black, which goes on super easy, dries extra fast, instantly, lasts a long time, doesn't smear, and great applicator with fine point tip - perfect for drawing cat eyes and more.  We all know how tricky it can be to get a nice smooth line with liquid liner and how badly wrong it can go when it smears!  You will be amazed at what a breeze it is to use this one!  See Photo Below, in Testimonial, of Kaity using this great defining liquid liner!

The Natural Mascara in Black did not let us down either!  It goes on easily, lengthens and volumizes and makes lashes smooth - not brittle! It did not clump and it stayed on well without flaking or smudging! This nurturing mascara does the job and stays put! We love the product, but found it was not easy to remove with warm water, but with a good makeup remover you can remove it without much effort.

The Pencils - 

Bronze Amulet Goddess Pencil - has a slightly more golden tone than what you can tell from looking at the pencil itself but is still great for a day look or to add a nice pop to your evening look. It goes on smooth, glides easily, and lasts a long time yet is easy to remove when you are ready.  We were impressed with it easy application - no tugging at the eye, just glides on! But we have one tip for you when using these awesome pencils - let it set before you open your eye all the way or it will mark your eyelid.  It sets fairly quickly though, so you don't have to wait too long.

Charcoal Obsidian Goddess Pencil - Just as amazing with same easy of use and staying power (read above). As for the color, it goes on slightly darker, we would say it is closer to black than gray, but still not as dramatic as true black.  I really like this because I personally do not often use black, as I feel it is too severe for my fair skin and my age - but this offers me a nice alternative to dark brown (what I typically opt for in a daytime look with neutral eyeshadow colors) and it will be perfect for use with my purple shadows (that I save for evenings and special occasions).

Natural Smokey Eye Pencil - does just what you think it would do!  Helps you create a perfect smokey eye effect.  As with the other pencils, it glides on super smooth and has fabulous staying power.  You can alter the look for a seductive, smokey eye by using the great smudge applicator on the opposite end, or leave it as your normal dark liner to simply enhance your eyes.  This is a must have pencil, so of course it was a feature on all 3 pencils we received!

Custom Compact Mirror - we love its sophisticated look and how slim it is.  I don't know about you, but I don't have room for a big bulky mirror that takes up space in my purse.  This one is the perfect size to slip in even the smallest handbag!

Cosmetic Sharpener - is designed to specifically fit Eye of Horus pencils.  My daughter had some trouble using it but I was able to get it to work successfully.  Just be sure to put the pencil in straight and turn gently.

Microfiber Cleansing Cloth - the face needs to be tampered and treated with care.  This super soft microfiber cloth is especially great for the delicate eye area.  Use warm water and your favorite face wash to remove products from your face gently with this great cloth.  You can also use it with your makeup remover - I really dislike using cotton balls because I hate when the fuzz gets caught in my lashes.  This makes a super alternative, because it is just as soft and gentle as the ball of cotton. Plus it is reusable, so you save money and space. We really like it!

I am sorry I don't have more individual product photos for you but my daughter has absconded the mascara, compact, cloth, and liquid define eyeliner and claimed them as her own.  I can assure you they are all fabulous and the lids/caps stay on well.

Now for the fun part - here are before and afters of my daughter, Kaity and her friend, Brieanna.  They look really great with the Eye of Horus products!

As you can see, Brieanna had a clean, fresh face in photo on the left and then she still has a soft daytime look using the EOH products to enhance her pretty eyes (photo on right).

Now for Kaity's before and after pix - obviously in the photo on the left she has a tad of xyz brand eyeliner that she did not completely get removed, but she tried.  Now for the right photo, she went for a more fun and eye-catching look with her eyeliner!  I think it turned out great and she could not stop raving about how super easy they liquid define liner was to use!

I can say without any hesitation that these eyeliners, both liquid and pencil, are the finest I have ever used and now I am totally spoiled and will always want this type of quality.  The mascara was a high performer also, but I will say that I have tried other brands I was quite satisfied with - like Lancome and Estee Lauder.  Most of the EOH cosmetic products retail for $30, with their tools almost consistently at $15 each.  Remember though, these are healthier for your face, non-irritating and long lasting, high quality products.  Fewer re-applications means you will save money and time and hassle.  I recommend this product line to anyone who wants products they can apply quickly and easily, not worry about smudging, smearing or flaking, and who prefer gentler products that still have great staying power and really perform.  I am so thankful to Eye of Horus for letting me try their wonderful product line, which I will be raving about for some time!
